Job Description

A healthcare professional with a License Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification is needed to provide dedicated nursing care within an elementary school setting located in Novato, CA. This temporary contract position covers the current school year (CSY) and involves working 1:1 with pediatric students requiring specialized attention.


Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to pediatric students in a school environment
• Monitor and manage student health conditions, including medication administration and emergency response
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support students' health needs and educational goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of health records and incidents in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Promote a safe and healthy learning environment for all students

Desired Qualifications:

• Current LPN or LVN licensure and certification
• Experience working in pediatric nursing or school health services
• Ability to provide 1:1 nursing care tailored to children's special health needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with school health protocols and pediatric patient management
