Position Overview

Self Care Counseling is seeking a Billing & Revenue Specialist to take ownership of our billing processes and ensure consistent, accurate revenue flow across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone with billing experience who is highly detail-oriented, follows through on tasks to completion, and takes initiative to resolve issues without waiting to be directed. As we continue to grow and expand into additional locations, this position will play a key role in strengthening our financial operations and supporting scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Revenue Cycle (Primary Focus):

• Submit and manage insurance claims from start to resolution
• Actively follow up on unpaid, delayed, or denied claims until resolved
• Post payments, review remittances, and maintain accurate client balances
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues
• Identify trends in denials or delays and take initiative to address root causes
• Ensure accuracy of billing-related information within the EHR

Collaboration & Administrative Support:

• Work closely with administrative staff to ensure accurate and complete client information
• Assist with resolving discrepancies related to scheduling, documentation, or billing
• Support overall office operations as needed in a team-based environment
• Contribute to process improvements as the company continues to grow

• Experience in medical or behavioral health billing (required)
• Strong follow-through and ability to track tasks through completion
• High level of initiative and ability to work independently
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues
• Strong communication skills with both internal team members and insurance providers
