Job Overview The Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRCI) at Georgetown University Hospital, Dept. of Neurology, will coordinate and manage seven of approximately 55 ongoing clinical trials (Phases I–IV) focused on Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The position requires close coordination with clinical and ancillary departments, direct patient interaction, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Coordinate visit schedules, prepare pre‑visit planning, and conduct entire study visits per protocol. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of ancillary departments (Radiology, CRU, Cardiology, etc.) and communicate effectively. Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with university and regulatory standards. Accurately enter data and adverse events into OnCore/CTMS and report in a timely manner. Serve as the main point of contact for patients, responding to inquiries within 24 hours. Collaborate with the Associate Director of Clinical Trials, PIs, and sponsors to meet project deadlines. Coordinate daily, weekly, or monthly communication with patients and team members. Adhere to IRB, CITI, HIPAA, IATA training requirements and regulatory maintenance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; an associate degree with 5 years of relevant experience may be considered. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience with direct patient interaction; preferred 2 years as a Clinical Trial Coordinator or equivalent. Experience with human subjects research, social work, nursing, EMS, or supporting clinical trial departments. Clinical experience with Neurology/MS patients and understanding of disease states. Proficiency in regulatory processes, IRB submission, and data entry systems. Current CITI Group 1 Biomedical, HIPAA, and IATA training; phlebotomy experience and ability to handle biological specimens. Strong organizational, communication, and team‑work skills; detail oriented and committed to professionalism.
