JOB SUMMARY
The Crisis Intervention Manager serves as a key resource for responding to critical incidents, such as crises, emergencies, and natural disasters. Working in collaboration with Plymouth’s Crisis Management Team and community partners, the Crisis Intervention Manager develops, coordinates, implements and evaluates Plymouth’s critical response plans, policies and procedures to improve prevention, preparedness and continuity of vital operations and services. With a strong understanding of the mental health system and intervention strategies, the Crisis Intervention Manager provides practical and sound guidance, consultation, training, and assistance to increase staff’s capability to respond safely and effectively to critical incidents. This position is a regular, benefited, full-time position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
(Any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in counseling, social sciences or equivalent, relevant work experience.
Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience providing crisis intervention services, especially with people who experience mental illness or emotional disturbances.
Licensure/Certification: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) credentials. Valid Washington State driver’s license.
Travel: Domestic. Estimated 20% regular travel to Plymouth’s building sites.
