Assist in preparing forms, filings, and supporting evidence for immigration applications and petitions. Summarize findings from research and present them in clear, concise formats. Support attorneys in client-related tasks, including drafting correspondence and maintaining case records. Assist with administrative duties such as organizing files, scanning and copying documents, mailing case packages, and tracking case deadlines. Potentially interact with clients by gathering information, confirming details, or providing status updates under attorney guidance. Collaborate with team members across a multicultural environment to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information. Qualifications Currently pursuing or a pre-law degree (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, History, Sociology, or related field) or planning to attend law school in the future. Bilingual in English and Mandarin (required) Genuine interest in U.S. immigration law and motivation to build a career in the legal field. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise summaries. Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential client information. Prior experience in legal, administrative, or client-service roles (preferred but not required). Compensation Compensation: Interns will receive reasonable reimbursement for work-related expenses incurred during the program. In addition, paid internships may be available to exceptional candidates with prior legal experience in the U.S. immigration field. Time Commitment: A minimum commitment of 12 weeks is required. Schedule: Flexible scheduling is available, but interns are expected to maintain consistent weekly hours to ensure meaningful participation and learning. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to U.S. immigration law while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. You will sharpen your research, writing, and client service skills, build meaningful connections, and develop the practical foundation necessary for a successful legal career.
