Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Rushville, IN. In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Responsibilities Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures and be the first point of contact for line stoppage. Assist Manufacturing Engineering team with researching and specifying options for equipment. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to resolve production issues. Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning. Create cost‑effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations. Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality. Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set‑ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times. Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs. Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development. Partner with on‑site EHS to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA. Qualifications 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines. Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design. Effective communication at multiple levels and ability to build relationships. Growth mindset – desire to expand technical skillset. Results‑driven to maintain accountability and customer focus. PFMEA experience preferred. Preferred experience with project management or project launch. Experience with Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Poke‑Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, etc.). Ability to quickly determine root cause utilizing 8D and 5 why tools. Ability to quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing. Low/High Voltage knowledge and troubleshooting. PLC programming a plus. Location Rushville, IN (On‑site, 5 days per week) Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $109,340. Compensation Type: Salary.
