Must Have Summary: Indegene is looking for a Mexico-based medical communication & information professional to work on medical communication & information deliverables for global clients and to perform medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials. Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing content for medical communications and medical information documents such as slide sets, videos, abstracts, posters, infographics, and literature searches including review of promotional materials. Research, develop, and review content that is scientifically accurate, evidence-based, appropriately referenced, and compliant with quality and regulatory standards. Authoring and reviewing medical and scientific documents including abstracts, newsletters, posters, slide decks, videos, infographics, and medical information letters. Serve as the medical delegate on the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review committee, responsible for review and approval of promotional and medical materials related to marketed products, development compounds, and related disease states. Review materials to ensure data accuracy, context, and balanced, fair scientific presentation. Verify substantiation of claims and references, advise on reference acceptability and alignment with approved labels, and ensure material relevance for the target audience. Advise on materials and events produced by marketing and medical teams to ensure compliance with company policies and global standards for ethical promotion and scientific interaction. Provide guidance on product claims and company messaging in compliance with FDA regulations. Ensure promotional claims and non-promotional information adhere to regulations. Create medical information documents including standard response documents (SRs), Q&As, and reactive slide decks by assessing and summarizing literature. Update documents regularly and maintain a database of frequently used medical information documents as required. Demonstrate expertise in assigned therapeutic areas and a solid understanding of pertinent disease states. Perform literature searches in PubMed and Embase, formulate search strategies, critically evaluate literature, extract data, and present findings to support medical content creation; obtain copyright permissions as needed. Collaborate with the medical information and medical affairs teams during congresses, product launches, and data releases to ensure timely completion per timelines and SOPs; build strong working relationships with Medical Affairs Leads and Medical Directors to align medical strategy. Understand requirements for strategic communication planning, KOL profiling, scientific meetings (advisory boards, company-sponsored meetings, congress symposia), disease-awareness programs, and training/development programs. Respond to medical information requests from internal and external customers with medically and scientifically accurate, timely, balanced, and customer-focused responses. Provide high-quality customer service in response to inquiries received via phone, email, internet, or mail; document inquiries and responses accurately according to SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Requirements Advanced bioscience or pharmacy/medical qualification (PharmD, PhD, MD, or any life science background). Minimum 2–3 years of scientific writing/content writing/promotional review experience in research, life science, pharmaceutical companies, or medical communications agencies; experience in medical affairs or medical information is preferred. Strong accountability, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work in a cross-functional team. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines affecting the dissemination of medical information and product promotion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; willingness to travel as needed.
