Position Summary: As a Newspaper Delivery Driver for [Local Newspaper Name], you are on the front lines of ensuring our readers receive their news promptly and accurately. You will play a crucial role in our distribution process, driving routes to deliver newspapers to residences, businesses, and vending machines. This position requires early morning availability, reliability, and a commitment to excellent service.
Responsibilities: - Load and sort newspapers at the distribution center each morning, ensuring accuracy and care in handling.
- Deliver newspapers to assigned routes, which include homes, businesses, and newspaper vending machines.
- Maintain a timely delivery schedule, ensuring all subscribers receive their newspapers before the designated time.
- Collect payments and manage subscription information as necessary.
- Monitor and report inventory levels of newspapers and supplies to ensure adequate stock for distribution.
- Address and resolve subscribers' delivery issues and complaints.
- Keep vehicle clean and in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs, assisting in transporting company vehicles for proper maintenance.
- Adhere to road safety regulations and standards at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications: - Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle capable of carrying large quantities of newspapers.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent time management and navigational skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle complaints gracefully.
- Physical ability to lift and carry bundles of newspapers. (20 lbs )
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Working Conditions: - This role requires flexibility in hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover events as they happen.
- Travel to office to get company vehicle is required, so a reliable form of transportation is required.
