Overview
Registered Nurse – Utilization Management, travel assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: 2,258 to 2,307 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 5x8 Days (08:00–16:00). This travel - temporary assignment is designed for an RN with a focus in utilization management to support interdisciplinary care coordination in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities
- Perform utilization management activities to support appropriate level of care and resource use for residents.
- Review admissions, continued stays, and discharge plans to determine medical necessity and appropriate setting.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social work, and case management to optimize resident outcomes.
- Collect, document, and communicate data for authorization requests, chart reviews, and payer discussions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and payer guidelines related to SNF care and clinical documentation.
- Support discharge planning and care transitions to minimize unnecessary readmissions.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (New Mexico) or eligibility to practice in the state.
- 1+ year of utilization management, case management, or care coordination experience in long-term care, SNF, or related healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and prior authorization processes.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to work a 40-hour week within daytime hours and adapt to a travel assignment in a SNF setting.
