Clinical Research Coordinator (Non-R.N.) Open Date: 07/02/2026 Close Date: 10/02/2026 Pay Range: $38,500 to $52,314 Job Summary The Division of Hospital Medicine has an immediate opening for a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah Spencer F. Eccles School of Medicine. The coordinator will manage day‑to‑day clinical trial activities in adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), study protocols and applicable regulations. Duties include coordinating research procedures, study visits, follow‑up care, creating and maintaining tools to track study metrics, conducting pre‑study, site qualification, initiation, monitoring visits, close‑out activities, maintaining source documents and reporting adverse events. The coordinator will recruit, screen, enroll and obtain consent from study participants, collect and maintain patient and laboratory data, serve as liaison with study participants and families, and work under the direction of the Primary Investigator (PI). Responsibilities Coordinate day‑to‑day clinical trial activities in adherence to GCP, study protocols and regulations. Implement processes and organize efforts within the study team to achieve objectives, coordinating research procedures, study visits, and follow‑up care. Create and maintain tools and documentation to track study metrics and provide updates to management. Conduct site qualification, study initiation, monitoring visits, and close‑out activities. Maintain source documents, report adverse events, and document protocol deviations. Recruit, screen, enroll and obtain informed consent from study participants and collect and maintain related data. Coordinate specimen collection, processing and shipment and maintain contact with IRB. Assist with contract negotiation, budget and payment terms and maintain documents as required by FDA guidelines. Assist with CRF completion, audit, correction and relay of CRFs to sponsor. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) with up to 2 years of directly related work experience or master’s degree (or equivalency). Experience: Presently entering the field (entry‑level). Other Requirements: Must be able to work 30 hours per week Monday‑Friday 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; occasional travel to Primary Children’s Hospital Lehi campus; ability to work independently; basic proficiency in clinical research documentation and communication.
