Payroll Specialist with
2-3 years of payroll experience and a strong HR support background. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using
Paycom , a solid understanding of payroll compliance, and working knowledge of key HR functions including
FMLA , state labor laws, workers' compensation, benefits administration, and open enrollment.
We are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated to learn, grow, and build a long-term career with the company. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration - Process bi-weekly or weekly payroll using Paycom (preferred)
- Review and validate timecards, PTO, overtime, and wage adjustments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism
- Prepare payroll reports for Finance and HR leadership
HR Support & Compliance - Assist with FMLA tracking, documentation, and communication
- Maintain awareness of state labor laws and support compliance
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims and reporting
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments and changes
- Assist with annual open enrollment activities
- Maintain employee files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications - 2-3 years of payroll experience required (Paycom experience strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of FMLA, state labor laws, workers' compensation, and benefits
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the company is highly valued
