Practice Manager Role:
The Practice Manager leads the front desk and administrative operations, ensuring an exceptional patient experience while overseeing scheduling, billing, and operational efficiency.
This senior-level role manages the front desk team, develops processes, and partners with leadership to optimize patient flow and office performance.
Directly supervise, coach, and develop front desk and administrative staff.
Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and implement professional development plans.
Create a positive, patient-focused culture that drives team engagement and accountability.
Oversee daily front desk operations, including check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing processes.
Implement and maintain efficient workflows, ensuring smooth patient flow and minimal errors.
Track and analyze front desk KPIs (patient wait times, scheduling efficiency, collections, and satisfaction metrics).
Serve as the primary escalation point for patient concerns and complaints.
Ensure the front desk consistently delivers a welcoming, professional, and high-quality patient experience.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient satisfaction and retention.
Develop, document, and enforce front desk policies, procedures, and standards.
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve productivity.
Lead initiatives for technology upgrades or workflow improvements.
Oversee accurate insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and patient collections.
Prepare regular reports on front desk performance, financial metrics, and operational insights for senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
Practice Manager Background Background Profile:
5+ years of front desk or administrative experience in a dental, medical, or patient-facing environment.
Prior supervisory or management experience required.
Strong knowledge of practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar).
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive operational improvements.
